Can I use the install CD's that were packaged with my Macbook Pro to install Leopard on my powerbook?

I believe so, might have a problem if both notebooks share the same network.

no, the cds will look at the machine type they are inserted in and will only work with the one they were made for. On top of that the cds came ready for the intel chip, the PB is PPC.
Could always just stick it in and see what happens.

yep, not a good idea.

It'll be an Intel only DVD so won't work in your PowerBook

Awesome. Shall refrain from pinching the CD's from work in that case.

Just depends on whether or not you want a really expensive paper weight I suppose.

No, Apple are pricks with shit like this.

You can use any PowerPC CD/DVD in any PowerPC Mac, eg. the installer for a G4 iMac will work in a G4 PowerBook etc. Not sure if you can use any Intel CD/DVD in any Intel Mac
