Or 40GB and larger HD if you don't want to play PS1/2 games.

- wont be playing any ps2 games on it
- wont be playing tunes through it

only playing ps3 games on and off line, so should I really care about HD size?- nodesignerror
- You will in the future when we have mandatory installs. Plus, demos can weigh in at 2GB these days. GTA IV has a 3.5GB install.5timuli

is it back compatible?

Ah ha, was thinking this exact same thing earlier. I had liked the idea of the ps3 being back compatible but now I think about it, Im probably not gonna sell my ps2 so I won't need for a ps3 to be back compatible.
The 60gig is an older model thats already discontinued so a newer 40gig would make more sense, yes or no?

I just bought the 40 GB one and I think it'll be fine. Don't plan on playing any older games, and the PS3 doesn't have many great games right now anyway. I'll worry about having more space later, if I really need it. I guess an external HD would be better if you plan on getting blu-ray films. I prefer the 40GB since it's newer too.

80 gig MS4 Version. As long as they don't put a stupid graphic on it ... I am down with the gun metal.
