Any smart illustrator users out there using this piece of software. and if so, are they finding any of the scripts in particular useful. I been following it ever since Joshua Davis came to speak locally.

I have used it in the past.. I'm too busy to play with it at the moment, but love the software Lehni wrote.

I have only used the explosion and multiple objects tool for fun. but it creates some wild pieces with it.

I've written entire programs in scriptographer..
One for creating an arched text (every line of text is rotated in relation to a fixed point)..
(real size is A2 with 4pt readable text)And one for creating an entire book, based on a website (reading in content through java), make sense of the structure and translate into a infographic about that page.

last time i looked into it there was no version for cs3 on macs. looks like they released it, so i'm going to play with it some.

Do you have any knowledge of javascript (and math)? Because basicly scriptographer is javascript for illustrator, but it also uses some PostScript commands and you can even use Java (no -script) for file-handling (importing images/textfiles etc.)
Take a look at the scripts on the site, look at the source. And look at the documentation online. I guess the best way to start learning is taking apart script that othetr people wrote.

Scriptographer kept causing a bug that prevented me from clicking on anything in Illustrator (on the artboard or in menus) unless I reloaded Scriptographer first.
I played around with it, but I don't really have any need for its features at this point. And I don't code, so I'm not going to make something I'd find useful.
- I think if your a programmer you can do some cool stuff with this and id like to see some more coders take advantage of it.Iggyboo

scriptographer is turning turning into the kids who just like using the effects in photoshop.

yes, you have to be somewhat of a coder to get the full potential out of the plugin.
