Stupid powerpoint question

Hey,
We need to import a white logo into powerpoint as a stand-alone image. We're doing this so the client can swap out images that sit below the logo without having to noodle around too much. Problem is, we can't get the logo to come in crisp in the older version of PPT (whatever came before the latest version of office). When I bring it in as a .png it looks fine in the latest PPT, but turns to shit in older versions. Go figure.
Anyone have any advice on optimal file formats for keeping logos--or any graphic element for that matter--crisp in PPT? I think the designer working on it is going to kill himself soon if we don't find a solution.

3 questions
what older version of powerpoint .... powerpoint2000?
what the dimensional size of your png? the bigger the better
how are you saving the .png from photoshop? save for web is preferred ... (24bit png)

Try saving the image as a png 24 with transparency. And DO NOT drag and drop the image but make sure you use the file-import image.

version 10x apparently. I'm guessing it's 2000.
We're importing it properly, not dragging in. We'll give your suggestions a shot. Thanks guys.

There is no such thing as a stupid power point question, just a stupid programme which forces people to ask seemingly straightforward questions.

Nope. No difference. Hope is dying.

you tried a png then?

ppt 2000 renders png transparency differently in preview vs slideshow mode

what you need is an amiga-formatted .iff saved in deluxe paint
