What do you think about, if done moderately and using a decent line screen?

I do it all the time. The success of the screen depends on the selected PMS color, the paper stock, and the quality of your printer.
- Your offset printer, I meant. Ive not had a lot of luck printing screens on smaller, lower-end presses.Josev
- They often plug or are uneven. Of course this is a problem with large solids on the same types of presses.Josev
- low-end budget printers sometimes use paper plates which won't hold the screen detailhorton

The Pantone Tint selector is worth the investment:

i use spot tints everywhere.. that's half the fun of using spot colors. i just avoid large flat areas of it as the results may be uneven. and as josev suggested make sure your press is capable.
