Some vegans are 'attention seakers' i guess like people who flip out at restaurants and stuff but to be honest i never bring it up and it's always my friends or whoever i'm with that make it seem like a big deal. It's like "oh let's go eat here..BUT WAIT IS THERE ANYTHING YOU CAN EAT ARE YOU SURE YOULL BE OKAY? OKAY FORGET IT LETS GO SOMEWHERE ELSE GUYS" meanwhile i'm like ugghh i don't care let's eat where you guys want!
But there are annoying ones, no doubt.

re. attention seekers.
i've met more meat eaters in life that like to flaunt their meat eating. In fake life e.g. the internet, the general rule in threads about vegetarianism is that 2 or three posts in someone posts an image of steak or a dead cow and lots of meat eaters rail on about how fucking righteous and fundamental to humanity eating meat is. Then you generally have one or two vegans suggesting that veganism isn't all that bad.

- lets try that again... this is fake life?Jnr_Madison

it goes both ways really. attention seekers like to flaunt their self-righteousness regardless of their viewpoint.

vegans by design are whackos.
It's not a lifestyle choice - it's an eating disorder.

Whatever happened to cannibalism?
In a stroke, we could sort world hunger and the population problem.

dangerous you need meat for your red blood cells

To each their own.
For someone to say that they (or their friends) are having health issues because they aren't eating meat is just naive (and ridiculous). You have health issues because of a lack of a balanced diet, not whether you eat meat or not.

I would like to point out that the reason it seems like vegetarians/vegans are always going on about it, bragging, etc is that some of them are self-righteous. Not all of them. The thing is, you never hear from the quiet ones. I have friends how have been adamant vegans for 5 to 10 years, and some of them I had no idea until I offered them some animal. There are quiet, dignified vegans out there who just don't talk about it.
The funny thing is, the annoying vegans/vegetarians I know (the ones who are always trying to convert everyone around them and act like they are better than everyone else) are some of the most left-wing, anti-religion anti-establishment people I know. They hate when anyone comes along trying to convert them and yet they end up doing it all the time.
There is a word for these people, and it's not vegan or vegetarian. It's hypocrite.

i've run into more annoying twats touting eating meat than i have vegetarians or vegans. at least vegetarians have valid reasons for it whereas angry meat-eaters are just ranting because... what, threatened ego? somebody is being different than them?
who fucking cares?

going veg for the summer (except BBQ!) just to learn more about veggie cooking/ingredients/etc. I'm ok with eating meat, but it ends up being the main portion of every meal I eat, and only by default/laziness. it's a habit I'd like to change because there's so many types of food out there I ignore.

I was a vegetarian most of my 20's because I was in a serious relationship with a hot vegetarian. My parents were supportive of my diet even know they hated the girl and cooked me separate meals when we came home for Sunday dinners.
I broke down and my sisters wedding and started eating seafood when I got wasted and saw a 10 foot shrimp cocktail fountain.
I got married to a different girl who is a meat eater and started eating red meat again about 5 years ago.
I'm now the heaviest I've ever been in my life (nearly 210lbs.) and I'm sure it has to do with my age, being married, and drinking beer more than ever but I swear eating meat has really packed the pounds on me.
