Another problem with this whole scenario is you need GLOBAL collaboration.

expalin to me why pollution is bad.
- should we use pop up books and crayons, cause if you're asking that question you gotta be like 6 right?somatica
- the point of fighting global warming is to reduce emissions, explain why you don't want to do that.mrdobolina

global anything is a recipe for imperialism and economic dominance. people should be able and allowed to take care of their own fucking land without hedge fucking with them to fund his yaught vacation in their backyard

the world is my pint glass, don't piss in it

if building green save you money (at the end) and are better for the environment. what the fu..its the problem. its a better design solution.
its obvious, what you do and what you buy, effects the planet.
its all about resources.ex. if you fish all the fishes. there wont be any more fishes. its that simple.

Human induced global warming is a power scam. It is a great excuse to bully developing countries and make billions selling nothing a.k.a. CO2 emission quotas:
http://www.hs.fi/english/article…There is no consensus among scientists, contrary to what mainstream media feed us.
Scientists are challenging global warming theory:
http://www.politicsandcurrentaff…
http://www.earthtimes.org/articl…What's funny, we are actually entering a global cooling period:
http://wattsupwiththat.wordpress…
http://www.dailytech.com/Tempera…Vaclav Klaus, Czech President on climate changes and politics:
http://www.klaus.cz/klaus2/asp/c…
http://www.klaus.cz/klaus2/asp/c…Just wanted to add, there is a world of difference between global warming and pollution - these are entirely separate issues for me.
I think the approach "even if the CO2 theory is wrong, restricting emissions is good for environment so let's go on with these" is a dangerous one and will cost us dearly.- seems more likely that it's based on a substantial amount of evidence but still being used for dubious industry reasonsoozie
- hedge0
Actually, no solid scientific evidence has been established that can either confirm or deny the claims. Let's leave the argument at that.
- mrdobolina0
cutting pollution and fighting global warming are the same thing. it all cuts emissions, how can anyone be against it.
- +1. The question is how far do we go and what will we sacrifice.hedge
- rafalski0
@dobs:
Global warming and CO2 levels are a function of solar activity, not human activity. Good luck fighting them.So far, the only result of tackling the climate change is in our pockets:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/busin…
Yes it is personal, I am being robbed every time I fly out of the UK.- it is all about reducing emissions.mrdobolina
- you mean all that C02 that is being pumped into the air constantly by people has no effect and is actually the sun?oozie
- ever been to LA?mrdobolina
- That's what I mean. The impact of human-produced CO2 is scarce compared to volcanoes and oceans.rafalski

autism is pretty much proven to be tied to mercury levels in groundwater caused by smokestacks from factories that drop heavy metals into the atmosphere. the levels in america follow the same increase in emissions on a chart. there are other implications to pollution than just al gore style global warming. How can anyone be against cutting pollution?
- mrdobolina0
america is going to go nuclear power soon. no matter who the presidnet is. it is just a fact of life.
- //and we'll ship the waste to mars.mrdobolina
- Why not shoot it at the sun.Iggyboo
- hedge0
Well, we need to find a viable alternative. I'm not saying that nuclear is the ideal solution, but it's certainly better than most of the others at this point.
- mrdobolina0
technology has changed a lot since 3 mile island and chernobyl. it is just reality, ever increasing demand, environmental effects from emissions. store the waste in utah, everyone wins.
- The mormons would be pissed :)designbot
- wyoming is a better alternative, dick cheney's state.mrdobolina
- hedge0
Might I suggest Wyoming? I believe their population is like 500k.
Good population:area ratio for the situation right there.hedge - then wyoming or utah could be like a rad mad max world where fugitives go on the lam.mrdobolina
- http://www.worldatla…
- oozie0
the only reaosn why nuclear is an option is because big industry loves it and you can piss on iran about it. meanwhile the actual efficient and innovative sources would be solar, tidal, wind...you know the 'alternatives', but you can't control or raise prices on something that runs practically for free with minimal start up/maintenance costs or come up reasons to bomb people
- mrdobolina0
the public is going crazy about solar, wind turbines and everything else. federally they need to bring back nukes, phase out coal and things would be better. france is 80% nuclear powered.
- I'm guilty of riding the solar wave with SOLF.
lol.hedge - I dont know what that is.mrdobolina

It's a solar company that was very trendy for a while.hedge

the price of solar panels have dropped to 1/3rd of what they were 3 years ago.
