Is it true? Does it fix the corrupting file issue?

It appears so. I am using CS2, but I still had the same issue. I have done some test images and it all seems OK.

I updated and so far all is fixed. I would make backups for a while just to be safe but it looks good!

So we think this update fixes the problem then? It's quite a big thing, surprised this thread isn't longer.
