so I have designed these stand up graphic panels for this band to go in front of their 2 guitar cabs and their bass cab and I was wondering if there is an acoustically transparent fabric that is possible to print on? i am having a hard time finding anything like that. I could do it on canvas or vinyl, but I don't want it to mess with the sound! thanks guys

Not really, anything you put in front is going to affect the sound to some degree.

well how can i minimize that? I've seen other bands do it as well and it seemed fine.

Your best bet I think is too remove the grille from their existing cabs and apply the graphic to those, since they match the cabinet. Otherwise you'll be doubling up and it could have some nasty effects.

i wonder if this could be printed on?
http://www.acousticalsolutions.c…- It might be alright, but guitars operate in midranges, much different from hifi systems, organs, etcismith

the marshalls they have are a bit tough to do that though, and I don't think that's the effect they were going for.

Maybe you could Google for companies that do this to get an idea of the methodology. Otherwise whatever you do will probably be a crapshoot.

what about this stuff? i just spoke with them and they said it should work, but what about printing on polyester?

midrange tones, cabinets, cloth...just play guitar.
