I know the Bell campaign has been complained about previously in this illustrious little community but I have to bitch some more about it.
The TV commercials have been playing non stop during the Olympics and they are TERRIBLE. I mean really bad. Who the hell came up with this absolute garbage and who signed off on it. I can't get over it.
A friend of mine is so annoyed with the TV ads that as soon as she saw a poster from the same campaign in the subway she got immediately angry. I wonder if that was the emotional response they were going for.

Haven't seen it. Any links?
I hope this isn;t derailing your thread but... what in God's name are those Geiko ads about? Fucking NUTS is what. None of those ads make any sense and they seem to have about four concepts running simultaneously.

Argh. I'm trying to find the commercials online somewhere.

You can see them preceding the Olympic videos here:
- need to be in Canada to watch? "Video not available in your area"lackofcolor

That's what happens when FIVE agencies work together for two years on one logo: Zulu Alpha Kilo, Leo Burnett, Ig2 and, Cossette (Bell's old agency... who came up with the beavers).
I'm not feeling it either.

For anyone in the Philly area... surely you agree the Conlin's Copy ads are the BEST THING EVER to grace a tv screen?

I do like the sports montage one, minus the camera pull out on the vaulter at the end. But the Dad and his kid one really isnt funny. Bad writing.

FIVE agency's?! Just for the Logo? That is absolutely ridiculous. They need their heads examined. Better yet I need that account.

Like schoolbusrock mentioned, the one with the montage of various sports participating in a relay is awesome. The rest I can do without.

Meh, I like the new Bell ads. They could have gone with the same old bland middle of the road approach but they seemed to have at least attempted something a little different here.
Though I do wonder why they chose the "er" device. A more natural take would have been to use "Be" from their name. "Be Smarter" "Be Faster" "Be Better" - "Be"ll

New slogan is better in French, "La vie est Bell" (Life is *pretty*).
What I do like is the complete lack of drop-shadows, reflections, and bevels in the print work.
Website is pretty dull, though better than their previous one and certainly easier on the eyes than Rogers...
