Awesome! I might win if you all drop out!
haha

I'm not dropping, I've been logging miles between packing boxes and organize the move. mattiaBK (LeoRNR) won't stop.

I'm just catching back up to my normal run distance. Thanks nib101 for letting us catch up a little this week. On another note I did another calibration last night since i went side by side with my gf and we were not in sync at all. Initially i had done a calibration at 400meters. It is much better and more accurate to do a calibration at a longer distance such as 1 mile or more. This way you get to your real pace. Until the nike+ is built like a gps I don't think there is any way to get complete accuracy. It's still a fun thing that has got me back into running though. What are all of your thoughts on its accuracy I am curious to see what you guys think.

it's pretty spot-on it seems for me. i usually run around the three lakes a couple blocks from my house, and on the trails they have a map that shows the distance of each. the nike+ band is just about perfect on the lengths of each. sometimes it seems as if i get a lag of about a quarte-mile(at most) after an 8 miler or so, but that's not that big of a deal.

I will tell you tomorrow on my first run after callibrating!
well I did one yesterday but it was not my usual path or distance so I can't tell just yet
- mattiaBK0
I haven't had that many calibration problems since I began using Nike+ 2 years ago. Sometimes is spot-on, sometimes is a little short and others a little long, but nothing outrageous!

Well, in one stupid move i've managed to bugger up the whole competition.
I'm afraid I ran two competitive 10k races this month and for both of them i measured the distance using the Nike+ system. After I thought i calibrated the chip correctly, in both races i finished the 10 with my nano telling me i'd only done around 9.2km (this would explain me running my bollocks off and not getting close to any of my official times in the QBN challenges).
Anyway, the point of this ramble is that i thought i'd try and calibrate my sensor again and i've buggered it up which is why if any of you who are in the 5k speed challenge will see my time has jumped a fair bit.
Anyway, i would just like to apologise to everyone for messing up the competition, I can assure you i didn't mean to do it so i will pull out of this challenge, recalibrate my sensor and rejoin Challenge 7.
Good luck everyone...it look like the competition may get interesting!!

I haven't been running as much as I just went on a 4 day bender, and my indoor soccer league has picked up.
Depending on the weather I may go for a run today though.
- Meeklo0
I logged 8k this mornen yo..
I didn't notice any difference with my previous runs (this time I had calibrated the damn thing).it look like it was spot on for me, right out of the box.
- mattiaBK0
I had a pretty bad week, this packing is making me angry, it's in my way with my running! But I see that we all had a pretty low mileage week. See how this one goes.
- Meeklo0
added 12k in the last 2 days

I started my soccer league and have just been keeping up with my pilates as a result as I'm running like a motherfucker for that.
I am sorry evens.
Or odds.
Or Jaline.
I forget which team I am on.

I gave up running like 10 days ago :o)
It's chilly and humid outside and wanna enjoy life without exercise.
I'll definitely join the next challenge. Got a gym I can go to to run even in winter ;o)

I'm so pissed of... I just ran 10km and then my ipod suddenly didn't logged anymore in the nikeplus website....
this ended up 3hours later with the loss of the complete record on my nike+ sensor (and of course my last 10km which is lost...).- finally my ipod is working fine. I just recorded a nice 0,01km run....dyspl

do you need a specific set of nike shoes to make the little dongle work or does it work with anything?
- VectorMasked0
It can work with any shoes. They don't have to be Nike shoes.
Now, Some nike shoes have a tiny hole in the sole for the sensor to be placed in. These shoes are usually marked as Nike+ shoes.
If you use nike shoes without this hole or shoes from any other brand you will need to stuck the sensor in between the laces or get a pouch that will be placed in the laces. These pouches cost like 5-15 bucks on ebay or amazon and many running shops now carry these kind of pouches in store.
