is it bad that i'm watching the us vp debate and not the canadian one?
- I am too. All parties around 1 table is too chaotic... too much over talking.ETM

- I predicted this.Jaline
- (not trying to sound like I know everything. just had a feeling. I think some news stations were talking about how both debates are on the same day too)Jaline

I still can't believe the Liberal party has Stéphane Dion. I wanted someone like Michael Ignatieff or Gerard Kennedy. Someone from a different province or with a background, at the very least.

I met Elizabeth May once at university. She gave us tons of information about the Green Party and I actually learned more about her. She's pretty funny.

Personally, I lean to the right (if I was american though I'd vote Dem. every time). I'm not as far right as the Conservatives, although I have enjoyed their GST reduction. The Liberals are more in line with my political thoughts but are so crooked and f'ed up and can't seem to get their priorities straight. I'll never be a complete socialist (I enjoy keeping my hard earned money) so I'll never vote NDP. I may actually give my vote to the green party so that they can earn some more respect. The environment is a huge issue, and if they get a certain number of votes they get some federal funding for their party. I think they deserve it so I may throw my vote their way even if the have no chance. Kind of a weird decision for me, uber-right or uber-left, what way to go?
- then you're the typical canadian : center. right when tories in power. left when liberals in powerFanco

voting NDP or Green isn't a wasted vote. every vote accounts for money and support. they will receive for the next elections by well... elections canada.
green party is more and more organized in part of the voter turn out for them last elections. if it keeps on increasing they'll continue to have a bigger and more important presence in ottawa. therefore, with time probably, the other parties will have no choice but respect them.
what pissed me off was what harper and layton said about Elisabeth May. flat out said there's no way she'd run for the job of Prime Minister and only for the environmental minister. and questioned her purpose for a televised leadership debate. if that's the case, then why are the letting the Bloc participate? I might be wrong with the numbers, but the greens have members representing themselves in ALL of the electoral counties!
- dammit. i need to start re-reading myself before sending/saving stuffFanco
