Who would win in a fight?

Screen

and the hermaphrodite? they do both..

Print for tactile lovliness. Screen is all superficial and it lies to us, slickly.
No amount of screen virtuosity will ever out gun print in any field... action? more dramatic in print... sex? mor esexy in print.... drama? more dramatic in print etc etc.

SCREEN DESIGNERS FIGHT TO THE END
whereas
PRINT DESIGNERS GET ARTWORKERS TO FINISH THINGS
so in conclusion:
Screen designers are the hardest and would win!

Somebody offers you the chance to own only one of the following items:
Item 1. An A2 hardback, cloth bound with embossed logo, full colour end papers, signed by the director, 500 page full colour imagery throughout illustrating a fascinating personal account of the making of Star Wars written by George Lucas and featuring many first hand recollections by the man members of the cast which are previously unpublished... and inserted into the paper wrap cover are various pieces of printed Star Wars ephemera.
Item 2.
A BlueRay DVD of Star Wars with a "Making of" feature and some bonus material. The choice... is yours.

Trick question, as everyone knows Star wars is shit.
- I'm no fan, I just went for something 'popular'.SkyPoo
- from this I can deduce that you are not a screen designer nor do you work with computersBaskerviIle

the question was regarding the designers, not the finished products
- SkyPoo0
Would you rather have the 1966 world cup on VHS, or a programme from the match?
- SkyPoo0
Suddenly at this triumphant moment in time... I realise I have misunderstood the question completely.
LOL & ROFFLE.

Screen design dies. Print design lives on.

are they allowed to pack their respective tools? cos I reckon I could take anyone in this thread with my scalpel and tube of uhu

An arm wrestle would sort this discussion out.

Well I did mention the designers originally but it was a more serious thing in my head. Who had more gravitas. I still see it as print designers, and I guess for the reasons Spooky's saying, screen stuff is replaced so quickly, appeal to the masses quickly and cheaply and think of something else for doing the same job next week.
Print guys tend to be designers first, and then their attentions aimed at print. They can offer a good eye for design to screen stuff. I'm not sure the same can be said for screen back into print.

i disagree leigh.
i think we need to all get lycra wrestling suits made and have a QBN tagmatch

Print designers would win on strength if there were no weapons allowed, all that lugging around paper stock, heavy letterpress slugs print designers are buff, whereas screen designers are anaemic, pale wastrels who sit in a darkened room all day playing WoW.
If weapons are involved though I'm sure screen designers could code up some kind of robot helper droid to fight for them, or hack their opponent's bank account or something.
Each has their strengths, the important thing to remember is, we can all beat interior designers and architects in a fight.
- Agreed. Let us celebrate this agreement with the adding of chocolate to milk.ian
