A great online app for comparison of the fonts for the screen

id say that seedconference and nymag are the only two of your suggestions that use CSS typography for their "typography"
the others use images rather than fonts/image replacement/typographic details.

haha, look at the source html on seed conference, its horrific.
I wish there was some way to do small caps properly on the web
- they should have used text-transform:upper... and the :first-letter selectorneverblink

Look into flash image replacement to be able to use different fonts.
we've been using it a lot recently on sites and its really nice and can just add that extra lil bit of class to designs being able to embed a companies corporate fonts for headlines and subheadlines.i'd have hoped to have seen a lot of really typographics sites using that method in this post :(

Just looking at the style.css doc on the Julian Stahncke site, and I see such things as:
margin: 0.15em -0.55555556em 0.1em 0;
Anyone who is expertly versed in such advanced principles either explain this thinking or point me to somewhere I can bone up on it ?
Also, to risk sounding like a total nube, how does he get that main body text to seem so nicely anti-aliased ?
