gaspz; when i shoot indoors i use the fuji 3200... it is expensive here in the states as well... i have both a spotmeter and the prism but i use the spotmeter around 90 percent of the time...

Anyone know of any good camera shops in Toronto where i can get 120 film processed?
- silvano's? never used them before, but i know they've been around forever.sikma
- nice one thanks - new to the city, so haven't a clue where to go!luo
- Silvanos is terrible. Try Toronto Image Works or Colourgenics.Tungsten
- toronto image works is alot more central, thanksluo
- ask for a roll scan when they process your film. I think it's an extra $6 but the quality is good and will save you the trouble.Tungsten

kind of stuck and wondering if you guys have advice:
mamiya 6 or hasselblad 500?I know they're completely different - but tired of 35mm and wanting to make the jump, tried both, love both - more handheld kind of person so thought the mamiya, but then the blad is so sweet and amazing to frame shots....

fast, Low light, street work - Mamiya 6 (great for handheld)
time for Preparation - Hasslelbad (easiest on tripod, but ok handheld)
both have flash sync to 500th, Mamiya 6 doesn't focus very close with 150mm lens, so not for headshots unless you crop
Blad has shutter bounce at slower shutter speeds, also noisier... and try to get the brighter focusing screen, try a few 500C/M's and check the screens.... grid lines in a blad screen are very cool. Get the unjamming tool if you get a used 'blad too...
- hey thanks... think leaning to mamiya6 as better for street, but hard to find & pricey!inteliboy

Mamiya 7's 80mm lens bokeh is supposed to be better than the 6 's.
7 is a 6x7 camera, 6 is a 6x6 camera. pretty similar otherwise, except that the 6 seems better built... the 7 feels more plasticky.... great lenses in both cases though.... note that I've heard the 7's rangefinder is banged out of alighnment a bit more easier than a 6, if they're dropped....
mamiya 7's seem more common than mamiya 6's
Both Mamiya's have meters and aperture priority If I recall correctly.. any meter on a blad is an odd beast, as you have to manually transfer the values.... but once you get used to a blad, it's cool.... you hand-hold meter, use a digicam's meter or learn to guess really well...
I love my Minolta Autocord TLR... and I wish I still had my Rolleiflex 3.5E Planar.... both delightful... but different.... and great for street shooting as they are sooo quiet and the bokeh is divine...

There is a really great MF blog/Tumblr here:

Hey good to hear info like this - the photo.net and flickr boards kind of waffle on. Have turned away from the pricey/rare option - plus the mamiya6 seems to have not-so-good bokeh / shallow dof (more super sharp then silky smooth). The Autocord looks niice. Hmm... Anyway sorry to waste time, in that weird hunting for new toys mode...
