the Mamyia M7 is pretty awesome s well. Considered the Leica of medium format. I tend to use a lot of expired film though so it's a strange combo

Anyone here ever shot large format? This post brings back found memories of my college photo days. We had multiple mandatory classes in 4x5 large format. Medium format was optional. HEAVY stuff to carry but so beautiful it'll make your loins quiver.
- i have never done large format, but i have seen some work... it is absolutely stunning!Calero
- We shot 4x5 Speed Graphic at my wedding- we did a portrait station, and every guest got a portrait...nicnichols

I just got a RZ67 Pro II, what would be a lens recommendation? and have you tried metered prism? Worth it? Could it replace light meter or decent runner up?
- Calero0
Nice! I have tried the metered prism and it works well, but i use an old school pentax spotmeter V with Zones... I prefer the light meter because i like to shoot a little darker than what the prism says, and it is heavier but its up to your liking. post some images when you can! you will love this camera!

thanks Calero, I am thinking about getting 110mm. I shot over the weekend using ADF with 35mm and 80mm. I do like the 35mm for landscape and would want one but hard to find one used. I find 80mm being in the middle, not too tight but maybe i want it tighter.
I will start with 110mm and see if i can do anything with it.

I used to have a Bronica ETRS. I loved it, even just walking round looking down through the viewfinder was time well spent. What I hated though was unloading and loading film every twelve shots. When digital really took off I PX'd all of my medium format and SLR gear in for one single Nikon semipro camera that was, frankly, fucking shit. It couldn't manage a single decent picture most of the time and I couldn't get to grips with the bewildering amount of options it offered me.
I have regretted giving everything up for a stupid digital camera ever since. I may go and buy another Bronny sometime as they can be got for so cheap now.

i shoot with a 110 but a 65 would be pretty good... they are a lil hard to come by used...

tedismyfav i started shooting large format this summer, but pinhole. Still getting the hang of it, but love it. I have a halloween party coming up and plan on creating a homemade 4x5 photo booth to capture all the guests.
- hell yes those are fun too. We used to make pinholes out of everything, trash cans, altoid containers....EVERYT... The polaroid pinholes are great too.tedismyfav
