I have a white leather couch. medium wood floors. What is best rug to get (8x10)? Mainly I want a tan rug under my white couch over a medium brn wood floor. I saw jute rugs but hear they are not comfy. I've looked at West Elm, Home Depot, Pottery Barn. Any other suggestions?

Eileen Grey area rug would look sweet. Knock-offs available all over the place. Design Within Reach probably carries them.

you might want to use a bright colour as an accent..... adding some "fuzz" to the room

If you have oranges and browns in the kitchen of an open concept home... bring oranges and brown into the living room to tie it in. The rug and a few other accents.
- Also, your medium floors... what wood? Like maple, oak? Golden tones, what?ETM
- Course grain like oak... fine grain like birch? I can go on :)ETM
- i dunno what wook prob oak not too dark not oo light i dunno its a new home
redant - i was thinking i need to tie it in some thanks. SO I should nt add a diff color them i assume like a light blue i dont think so
redant - Depends on the size and flow of your layout. I would lean towards not though.ETM

you're correct to stay in the realm of warm colors, especially tans and light browns.
Add a red or orange object or painting for punch.
