So I got my new laptop about a week ago, yesterday for the first time, I was working at a coffee shop, and the reflections started getting worst every minute the sun was coming down, it is UNREAL.
When you are working with dark colors its near impossible to see the screen even with the brightness cranked all the way up. I have read before that on this model, the light from the screen over powers the reflection factor on the screen, that is complete bullcrap.
I can literary see the tiny logo engraved on the side of my shades hanging from my shirt, its just like a mirror.
Sorry to rant, but I've used pretty much every mac laptop since the wallstreet g3 and I've never experienced anything like this, what were they thinking??

haha.
you bought one?

I have the same mbp and haven't had a problem. the only solution is to stay away from windows.

dang that sucks!
i just got one as well (a refurb previous model from apple). it didn't even give me an option for matte or glossy screen, so i was wondering what i would end up with. it was the matte screen that i got...and now i am happy about that :)
but sorry about your problem.

no apple replaced my older MBP because of the logic board issue.

Dude, 80% of the time, I'm running video set ups at nightclubs/ concerts, there is all sort of lights running everywhere.
If I can't take my laptop with me on the run (I was not working on the sun, I was working indoors) what is the freaking point of having a laptop?
Portability dude, again I've been doing this same thing since the wallstreet.
that was like what? 10 laptops ago man. I've never had a problem like this.
- I do not think you will have a problem in NightclubsDancer

GLOSSY SCREENS IS GREENER

Bummer. I wonder if there is a liquid solution that you could rub on to diffuse the incoming light. Hint. Hint.
- digdre0
i'm deadserious. thats what they said, greener
- maybe they were referring to dollars, with the 'green' reference. More "dollars"harlequino

digdre:
I know that they said greener, but if you look around the larger brands, they are all trying to get this:somewhere on their packaging. And the reason is purely used as a selling advantage point, nothing more.
All major tv networks in the US, now changed their websites, Motion IDs, etc with green motifs, some even dedicated extra pages to remind us to turn on the garage light when we go to sleep.
yes, the box is a lot smaller, they are using glass on the screen, and other things, but they will still release a new small upgrade in 4 months. And I understand that is how technology works, but don't call it green please.
- this totally went out of the way haha.. just give me back the matte option!Meeklo
- svenreed0
