Thanks. I'm just looking for something close. I'm creating a mini-site on his works and was thinking about using a similar typeface for the navigation. Part of the assignment is to make the site have the same "feel" as his work.

Jaline, I'd recommend using Neutraface as others have said, and perhaps pairing it with a slab serif like Serifa for the period look you want.

Jaline they're based on *real* typefaces but those posters are hand-drawn on litho stones.
Futura Bold, Bauhaus, Universal would all be appropriate to the time period. Or for web, you could use Century Gothic....
There's a bunch of faces by Archive Type for cheap that may work as well, http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/arc…

I propose we bring back drawing typefaces by hand!

Yes, they were all hand drawn (as a number of people have said before). Neutraface would be a good substitiute, as would Mostra and Verlag.

Verlag:

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet but these are hand drawn types...
I'd try Neutraface though as it's a decent substitute...
- it is expensive but you could probably find it on rapidshare..neue75_bold
