I have used Magento, Zen and Cube but I do prefer Magento.
Looking for hosted solutions?

Either to be honest?

i quite like prestashop

I've tried Cubecart, Magento, Click Cart pro and I find Cubecart is the easiest to work with. It's not perfect but it's powerful enough for most shops without being a really steep learning curve like the other two.

so:
Cubecart
Magento
Clickcart Pro
Zencheers - will look into these

Depends on scale and complexity of your project but we've had good results w/ Magento.

Magento is great, just forget it if you are on a tight hosting budget.

Phone Become. They will license you ActiveCommerce. They're 15 minutes down the road from you.
