Rapido SMTP?

I was reading on several mac/ osx websites regarding this app (Rapido SMTP) which is supposed to be free and easy to use.
All sites point to the developer site to download it, which is here:
http://www.app4mac.combut I can't find it there, anyone has it and wouldn't mind sharing it?
what it does:
"Here’s the deal. Most of us have an email account or two or three or more, right? Most email accounts come with a POP server address which lets us download email messages, and an SMTP server address which lets us send email. That’s just how it works.RapidoSMTP lets your Mac become the SMTP server using OS X’s built-in Postifix SMTP server. RapidoSMTP just turns it on so you can send email using your Mac as the SMTP server rather than a server somewhere else."

interesting.
but,
WHY?
- Meeklo0
cause I would love to use it of course.
It seems that its just what I need on my laptop, so I don't have to change outgoing servers depending on what agency I'm freelancing in that day in order to send emails.does that qualify me for asking about it? :)

i'd be interested in that too... my personal outgoing SMTP server is blocked by my ISPat work...

why dont you just configure your emails in Mail???

can i add that you can use gmail as your smtp server? That way you can configure all your accounts to funnel thru the same gmail account, and you can actually determine all the parameters (from email, name, etc)

thanks for the link, I visited 6 of those searches, and I can't figure it out, 2 of them say I need to have something called coldfusion installed. the reason I was asking for Rapido SMTP is because I had hopes that it would make all this process easier for me, as I'm not very computer savy other than photoshop/ illustrator thing..thanks for the help though

Also, regarding the Gmail thing
""Some clarification: I set up Gmail for a client for SMTP access, and we discovered the following huge drawback: Gmail automatically rewrites the "from" line of any e-mail you send via their SMTP gateway to your Gmail address, and it overrides any Reply-To settings you may have in your e-mail software in favor of the one in Gmail's web interface. So while Gmail's SMTP access sure is handy, it's not a perfect solution for everybody."
I would prefer to have my business email be displayed instead of gmail

You don't want to use a regular Gmail account for this. Set up a Google Apps account so you can use your own domain name. Next step is to set up IMAP and Mail and you're golden. :)

it sounds like it might tag your email with incorrect code (alternate sending domain info to what the 'reply to' and 'incoming mail server' are) which will effectively mark it as spam to some mail servers. possibly the main reason the software exists is for spam sending in the first place.

if you have a dynamic IP address from your ISP having your own SMTP will not really work. SMTP traffic from dynamic ranges will get denied by most ISPs and most of your mail will never get where it's going.
