Looks like a photo cause they is drawn from photos ... I'd recognize Schoeller's (sp?) photo of Christopher Walken anywhere.
But the textures ... so beautiful.

Great skills.
(A thing I've noticed though.. people who are this technically skilled, are usually weak at finding a good subject matter. Look online and see how many of these there are of popstars, drawn off of photographs.. the amount of it, makes it quite horrible.)
The walking is prettay good.

I've got a friend who can draw just like this guy. Only thing is, he can't draw without looking at a reference photo, but man can he copy a picture to a T.
Wonder if the same holds true for this guy?

very nice pencil works for a young gal.

dMullins, I think the art probably relies on accurately copying reference material but in translating it different emphasis can be brought out and embellishments can be made. In the example in the first post I imagine the portrait is photographically 'copied' but perhaps the textile in the background has been added and also the foliage overhead.
If that's the case I'd rather see it done like this with beautifully crafted pencil work than as a digital image comp in PSD.

@dMullins I think the question should be resolved by some time at college. With a bit of tuition she can go a long long way.
Clearly an incredible talent! Amazing work...
Well done!

That makes me laugh in this instance. She's going to Central Saint Martins, thats where I went... she'll get fuck all guidance or tuition in that place. Its like a gladiatorial pit where vast egos do battle while the tutors stand by disinterested.
If she emerges from it half as enthusiastic and focussed as when she went in she'll be lucky.
