So I now have a PC laptop for testing and I'd like to install a text editor so I can work on it when away from my desktop.
Can anyone recommend good (preferably free) text editors for windows? Thanks.

And this is always a fun one, more for writing text than anything code related...

Thanks. Unfortunately I got a copy of Dreamweaver last night that was full of trojans and spyware. Now my computer is dying! Windows is rad!

For the longest time I could ONLY use homesite to code... i had to run it in a VMWare session up until Coda came out.. Now I can't live without coda, and I dont think i could ever go back to the glitchfest that was homesite.. is there anything (even pay) on windows that compares to Coda?

If you're using Vista, here's another great tool I found which allows you to take ownership of any folder (overriding permissions) and have your way with it.
Yes. Vista quirks continue.
