If they eventually do it, it will not only require a hardware update, but also will only be available on the expensive option of the phone.
And while now they talk shit about flash, on their advertisements they will talk marvels on how flash is a "must have" on "any" phone, and how it increases speed on applications, how fast everything loads, and so on..
apple fans that used to hate it, will forget about today and show the phone around with the flash logo as a background image on one of those clips that you attach to the phone so you can have it on your belt, white the shirt tucked in only behind the phone, so everyone can see it.

I think apple is developing their own ECMAScript to compete with Actionscript. I believe Flash Player 10 is light enough for mobile.

I have yet to be disappointed about Flash not being on the iPhone. I can't say that I'm excited in the least about it being on there soon.

Flash capabilities is the least of their worries IMO

they dont want to do it cos it means people can play games/apps on their phones on websites online rather than buying stuff through their app shop.
the only reason they are NOT implementing flash is because of greed and wanting a monopoly on everything to do with the phone.- and they're dirty about flash video becoming the web standard rather than QTStylus

Flash on the Iphone? Watch the phone grinds to a halt after the plug-in max out 100% CPU power, should be fun.

Be interesting to see if this is a legit story and how they handle it. I think part of the problem of Flash on the iPhone is that it allows you to execute code (applications) that circumvent the App store and Apple's policies regarding software...
