so we have a terrible roommate and no longer feel safe in the apartment, has anyone had to go through the whole housing court process to get an eviction?

No longer feel safe? lol

pop a cap in his ass - that should do the trick
- uberdesigner0
smother him with a pillow

did he forget the safety word?

One time I threw a roommate down a flight of stairs. That seems to work.

- A little out of character for you, innit? ;)harlequino
- Didn't know you knew me... If you have a roommate that spends the rent money on coke, you would be surprised.DrBombay

Can we have a little more backstory? Don't leave out any tasty details.

Evicting is a lease holder or landlord issue. One of the two, and it's a timely process.
- right, my girl is the landlord and he's not recognizing that.doesnotexist
- do things the civil way, there's not much you can do. Might take 3 months I think.epikore
- I tried kicking a roommate out and regretted doing things the uncivil way.epikore

no, seriously though. he's extremely rude, never know if he's in his room or not because he's spooky quiet then we feel like he spies on us and video tapes/records us. Really suspicious behavior and and it's causing a lot of stress and tension. He occupies an extra room in an apt with my girl and I.
- just checking, but are you sure you are not taking amphetamines? they will make you paranoid yo know?Meeklo

In college I shared a house with 3 other guys.
One of the dudes turned out to be bat shit crazy.
So we gave him Hallmark card that had "Get out." written inside of it.
I know. It was harsh. But at the end of the next day he was gone.
- morilla0
If that is the case, then you have to go through the process. I have never been through it, but I hear it can be a bitch.
- sikma0
don't go through any process.
just tell him it's over. and to get out. preferably now. or at the end of the month.

what do you mean he doesn't want to leave?
is he on the lease? who owns the place? how many people live there?
- monospaced0
shouldn't have to get legal
kick him out - ask him to leave - tell him why
- uberdesigner0
one word: crack house

this is true, if he isn't on the lease you have every right to boot him out right away.
- I hear this too, but he's been here for more than 30 days...doesnotexist

Have someone else move in that's bigger and scarier
