This is a possible reason.
http://news.cnet.com/8301-13577_…Anyone else hacked lately? You would know if you got a browser warning saying "Reported Attack Site! Attack sites try to install programs that ..."
My index.html page had about 2000 lines of garbled code in there.
If you've been hacked what did you do?
I cleaned up my index.html page and submitted my page to Google's webmaster's tools so they can (hopefully) lift the warning off my site.

did you keep a copy of said garbled code, this sounds somewhat familiar from a myspace thing last year

that worm is different than having your site compromised. a worm requires user interaction. a simple solution to all your browsing infection woes is to simply not run your browser as an administrator.
now, if your site is actually hacked, then that's a whole different ball game. could be your site runs unsecure software (xss, xsrf), could be a stupid admin misconfigured the box, could be another user on the box that was able to elevate priviledges, etc, etc.

I used to use a host where my account had root access haha. I remember playing around one day and realised. a few weeks later they fixed it and i didnt have the internetsmarts to do anything useful with it
