Surely the repetition bit perfectly illustrated his point about Dell Boy's bar fall being voted for year after year after year.
All I know I was that I was in stitches, and I'm a moody joyless cunt.

I haven't watched any of the shows but I do think he's spot on and funny as. I love that whole Jimmy Hill / Garry Linaker skit on page one.

very funny, a proper clever and shit, thought it dipped a bit in the middle though, his rap singers chat went on a bit. First 10 minutes had me in stitches "the bad man hit my nice face" hahahaha
- I liked his stand up more than the scetches, I laughed when he was talking about how rappers would be selling a sausage or something.chossy
- sausage or something he he.chossy
- That bad rapper sketch did go on a bit to long, still funny.roundabout

I saw Stewart Lee perform at the Jersey Opera house last night. I'm still sore from laughing so much. He is a genius.
- Yup.. agree to that one. Really enjoyed last night. He's on a whole different level really...moprints

Has anyone heard anything about a 2nd series?
I can't believe the shite that is on the BEEB at the moment. Has anyone sat through an entire episode of The Persuasionists? It's a black hole of a show, sucking everything good from the world around it. Pound for pound (taking into account the cast and people involved), it's one of the worst sit-coms ever made. And yes, I'm putting it up alongside some of the sub-Carry On bollocks from the 70s.
We need Stewart Lee back on the TV as an antidote.

I thought it was pretty good.
Loved the whole Chris Moyles toilet book bit. His only aim being to create a great book to defecate to, but then having a quote from davina mcall on the front saying 'butt clenchingly honest'
genius

Yes The Persuasionists is the worst sitcom ever but the BBC is also showing Newswipe and Limmy's Show at the minute which are both excellent so its not all bad.- you (and Bolus) are clearly right on this, I think I am blinded by the shear awfulness of the persuasionists.Wolfboy

I only watch QI and Have I got news for you these days... and the thick of it is brilliant, so pray they make another series soon

I thought it was great. Especially if you stand it side by side with other BBC comedy being currently made. Like the vapid shite that is Horne and Corden (a show where 50% of the jokes are a fat man with no shirt). Or Two Pints of Lager - now in it's 8th fucking series. Or that sketch show using substandard CGI for punchlines, so bad I can't even remember the title of the show.
Nope, Stewart Lee's intelligent, stand up comedy was refreshing and I'm already looking forward to next weeks episode.

just saw him a couple of weeks ago and it was brilliant. he lives around me (stoke newington) so all of his regional jokes (sniff) really hit home.

The Wrong Door, fucking garbage just looked like an excuse for the BBC CG department to justify massive spends on shit like 3D dinosaurs and Krakatoa.Stuart Lee was pretty good, basically the same style shit hes been doing since the 90's but I still enjoy it, especially compared to garbage like the wrong fucking door.

how can that youtube clip be unavailable in my country when I'm in fucking England. Wanted to see the red button bits because they were not on iPlayer
