Wow, they do have nice work. But don't let it get you down, instead let it inspire you. You have a great portfolio, get up turn on your mac and get to work!
- mistermik0
nah its no worse than anyone other industry.
Its not bad industry to work in - where else can you draw pictures and then shout and sulk cos no one likes them.
- kezza_20
sigh.
look meffid, I could criticize your work, but whats the point. too many people in the design world have this idea that someone is better or worse than them.
its a completely false measurement of creativity. Too many people are critics frankly.
We are the only creative industry that does it. When I worked in TV ads, everyone just glorified together at what they did, films are the same, as is photography, but for some reason in design everyone gets really bitchy. I suspect jealousy mostly.
hating a design is just such a negative waste of time. luckily I work in a place where we send round what our competitors have done and we call them up and say that was great, and then we try twice as hard to do as well as them.
the way it should be.

hopr you have an amazing portfolio.
feel the love :D
- also I saw your portfolio when I was at burnetts, small world.kezza_2
- Cheers, I am grateful to anyone who can fight my website and overlarge files long enough to see a bit of work.Horp
- So we've met then? I only came in to LB once with my portfolio and met a few peeps, was it you?Horp
- Anyway, sounds like you do some good stuff, can it be viewed anywhere?Horp
- kezza_20
I have a flickr thing, where I dump stuff.
we may of met I guess, I worked on McDonalds.
your work reminds me of Roger Dean who's a bit of a hero of mine

Ah right... I did three runs of artwork for McD's in the end. Only the first one was portfolio-able though. Did Rik leave? I started off working with him, then a new CD came along, then Rik seemed to disappear a bit, and I always wondered.
- kezza_20
fat Rik? worked in a team with Dan?
that CD was hired, but been fired now. not sure who's running these days...
drop your trousers and join in Mik

right, please Kezza., put me out of my misery and tell me hot 90's hotness relates to the job you were working on and please please tell me it wasn't a macdonalds campaign because I will find your planners and kill them if they are putting MaccyD's next to Christina Applegate! ;)
wise and positive words up there, by the way, big plus 1 to you, my constantly horny friend :D
- I particularly like the idea of not judging work as better than any other work, from a personal standpoint, being a total hackkelpie
- kezza_20
Yeh Rick and dan are still there, really great team. we worked together on quite a bit of stuff.
they did the house of cards stuff recently, I expect they'll be made a CD team soon.
Kelpie, the 90's hotness had nothing to do with work, just wanted some fappage material that reminded me of being a teenager :)
