So this client is freaking out and he wants this font: http://goplatinumcoatings.com/ (the 'platinum'). UGLY. However, he really wants to get this look. I don't seem to be able to replicate it using layer styles in PS. Any ideas?
I swear to god....

create the word... duplicate onto separate layers with thicker strokes on the bottom. use the chrome and emboss filters at will

Do it in Illy. Offset paths to get the recessed outlines. Then use gradients inside the master section to achieve the color. Done.

show him better options, that's horrid. you should be telling him this.

shitty bosses are worse than shitty clients.
That's the reason my mojo is off somewhere. If it wasn't for the shitty economy I'd seriously look at chasing my mojo around the world until I catch it.
- I agree. That and the whole "having two kids thing"Knuckleberry

just look for 'chrome' action (atn) downloads for photoshop and you'll find it. it's an oldie and a crime against mankind. note: you'll need to find this one on a crap tutorial site or similar, most of the better chrome actions (and i'm using 'better' there as a categorising device, not actually approving of them) are not as bad as that one.
- also, the font is just helvetica condensed or impact - proably impact. something like that anyways.airey
