It's not that carbon levels haven't been high in the past...but the world was a very different place millions of years ago and human civilization is extremely recent. Even a "minor" change in climate would have impacts on agriculture and could cause serious droughts or flooding depending on where in the world you're talking about.

Now, a research team has shown that a lab-made molecule that mimics an antibody from our immune system may have more protective power than anything the body produces.
