It's pretty sad that 75% of the workforce in America hates their jobs when we spend most of our lives at work. Why must it be this way?

because there is not much choice right now. many people would leave if they could but they are holding on to what jobs they have.
as for people that have always hated their jobs bad economy or not... i don't really know, i feel like some people would hate going to any job really.

Why wouldn't you hate being forced to spend at least 40 hours a week doing something you wouldn't do if you didn't need money?

I love my job and I barely even spend 1/3 of my time there.

It's totally a new thing, too. 100 years ago every American loved their job and was happy to spend most of their time working it. That's a fact that backs up epikore's heavily-researched statement.

I feel you epikore. I feel you. I had this awful feeling not a month ago that made me want to move everything into storage, and pay the $100 a month so I could just drift around with my savings for 2 years. Then I realized, I don't have any savings.
