Anyone have any Terminal.app commands that they find especially useful or fun?
I like:
defaults write com.apple.finder _FXShowPosixPathInTitle -bool YES
Then relaunch finder and it shows the full path of the file at the top of your finder window instead of just the file by itself. Looks nicer and is less intrusive than "View > Show Path Bar".

ls -l
I always find that one particularly fun, especially when you are in a directory of tens of thousands images

something that people often don't realize is that you can drag and drop things into the terminal window and it will print the path to whatever you dropped

turn on single window mode in safari- all new window links open in tabs. restart safari if it's already running.
defaults write com.apple.Safari TargetedClicksCreateTabs -bool true
- Very nice. I get so tired of Command + Clicking while I'm browsing.BrandNewly

Add separators to the dock.
defaults write com.apple.dock persistent-apps -array-add '{"tile-type"="spacer-tile";}'
killall Dock
