Hullo, don't know if you can help - I'm looking for examples of actor's websites that you think are good. I'm particularly interested in ones that make efficient use of space and pagination, or have imaginative content-heavy layouts.
There was one a QBNer posted a while back, which he'd done for his Dad who is a voice talent. It was a oversized text-based site - anyone recollect it?
Thanks!

Why would an actor's site have content-heavy layouts? I'm working on one for a friend right now and he just wants headshots, video clips, list of shows/commercials etc, he's done and links to his agent/representation...

Perhaps that was a bit misdirected - there's probably about as much information in your friends', but I'd like to compress it down in to as few pages as possible.
My guy's current site has 7 pages (!), I can easily get it down to 3½ (the half being an in-page Contact form loader), I'd like to get it down to 2½ (Perhaps even 1½ if I can hone my JQuery a little more in the next couple of weeks!)
Just wanting to see how others have gone about it, is all.

As much as I hate these last two, and as far removed as their budget is, they have just made me realise I could use (..shudder..) flash to streamline the content delivery side. Hmmm. Thanks. I think.

In all seriousness, I honestly cannot find one well-designed "actor" site among my bookmarks. They all look like the sites from the late 90s. Very blog-like and full of information and images of cliques.

not very good, but i like the guy, and the site has all conceivable kinds of content, he does a lot. the look & feel is very horrible, but there´s more than 7 pages and it´s still very accessible, orientation and that.
- Ught, I've hated that guy ever since DS9 - though I guess that just means he played his part well! :) (geek alert)Nairn

Not horrible (and nothing new)

this one came to mind, it´s visual design is half-decent. the content layout is quite delicate, not so bulky, the continued scrolling sucks though. flash, but the basic concept is doable in html me thinks.

Oh, wait, he's not an actor. He's an extra, a douchebag, a womanizer, and a PRICK!
