Any suggestions.

Don't be troubled. Why not download the demo and try it for a month?

From what I hear you should stick with CS3.

CS4 runs fine on my mac... lovely in fact...

if you've got CS3 there's not a lot of point in getting CS4
I use CS3 at home and CS4 at work, and i actually find 4 more cumbersome and not as intuitive to use

cs4 runs fine once i did a complete fresh install of osx and then CS4 - before then it crashed constantly... now after a few months of using it its ok, but CS3 did the job too...

CS4 has a few nice improvements. I think they really improved the snapping. The Flash interface went through some changes, too. Some people don't like that, but I personally think it's a lot easier to use. Overall, I'd say it's definitely better, but not worth all the money for how few changes there actually are (as always).

We still use cs3 however there is a good argument to upgrade just to get access to the new flash (if you are working digital). Particularly if you animate.

just upgraded to CS4 from CS2 about 3 weeks ago. I was waaaay overdue; love it so far, but I never had CS3 so I can't help you compare.

running cs4 won't make you a better designer. But it is a good little upgrade.

i run cs4, for web though, found it buggy and frustrating, however with that being said ive also switched to a mac about a month ago.

CS4 is amazing! My favourite feature is multiple art boards in Illustrator, and the fact that you can save them as multiple pages in a pdf. If you can afford it, Go for it!
- You can do this in CS3rodzilla
- i dont believe you, unless its a hidden featureStitchy_Lizard
- i'm actually using CS3 with multi-artboards and exporting multiple pages all day long....rodzilla
- actually I had to connect a d-pad controller and press, up down up down left right left right select startrodzilla

I use cs3 at home, cs4 at school, and HATE cs4! It has too many kinks.

I honestly think that I could still use photoshop 4 to get the job done. The only nice thing ever to come out of CS was being able to nest layer-folders.
