First disappointing episode in this show for me.
The only possible redeeming factor didn't happen. I thought Walt was going to ramble about Jane more and end up telling Jesse that he could have saved her.
I wonder what the fly/red light was at the end. If it's foreshadowing something.

I found the episode pretty funny. When Jesse asks him what the hell is he holding (his makeshift fly swatter) , and Walt says "oh this is... I made this". And after Jesse rambles about his aunt and Walt says "does this story have a discernible point?' Comedy gold.

What a weird episode. Had it's funny bits. Had it's "Oh my God you cannot be serious - is he...?" and then nothing happened... bits.
By the way, I never saw that Mexican drug lord getting killed. There was a lot of shooting, but no body, right?

sheesh ... that was a hell of a stunt.I also think in future episodes that Walt will end up smoking some of his own meth .. He will struggle with whether to do it or not but eventually he will give in to its powers

this is obviously alluding to the concept of "a fly on the wall"...someone is watching their every step. They are going to know jesse is skimming, and the "extra" has been a plant the whole time to see how loyal both Walt and Jesse really are.

^whoa... the fly on the wall metaphor totally eluded me! that makes total sense with the foreshadowing of "i can not protect you from these people" and the trailer from next week with chicken man saying "you never make the same mistake twice"... wonder if they will actually kill off jesse?

Yeah that was a 'wtf' episode. Lots of in between the lines. Think it's just building up for a huge blowout as someone said above. Captivating episode but the only thing that related to the episode was Walk telling Jesse he couldn't help him if he gets caught. Still has me hooked.

But there is also the father of the girl who said "never give up on family"... Jesse has never ever given up on him. If Walt realizes that then he's going to have a choice to make.
Maybe he will protect him after all?

Yeah Jesse is a tough one to crack ... he has moments where he wants normalcy in his life like when tries to talk to his father .. but then immediately shifts back to his old self.
He is gonna sing a different tune when Walt has to save his ass yet again.- he just loves getting his ass kicked. That kid's face has been fucked up like 6 times already.tasty
