G5 blue screen

did anyone ever experience a blue screen on startup,
i can't get pass it and have tried pretty much any tricks online.
please help meeee!!!thanks

Boot from start up disk and do a system check.

already did, permission and disk are ok, but still wont pass the blue screen

It's probably your Login Window that's crashing .. had the same thing .. brought it to helpdesk at work and they fixed it . it's a nasty problem though ..
How i found out it was this problem:
Mount your computer as a external hdd to another mac (hold T while booting). Then look in your root and there's probably a folder called "damaged.files" or something similar .. you can find a log file in there that explains what the problem is ..

I had the blue screen of death, it meant the end of my G5 as the motherboard was pooched. G'luck!

so I mounted it,can access all my files, should I backup them then do a reinstall?
