The Do Not Call Registry......
Fucking Useless!!!
We get calls more times then I can count about absurd things and when you asked to be removed they just call you the next day!!!

report them

I have reported them on numerous occasions on the .gov website but nothing happens because these stupid fucks are using cripted numbers!

It takes awhile for the registry to kick in. Once it does (and it could take many months) the calls do stop. That's my experience, at least.

we have been on it for a little over a year!
while yes some have stopped its the asshole scam telemarketers that I would like to stab in the eye!
I.E.
"Press 1 to speak with a representative or press 2 to be removed from our list"Press 2 - nothing you get a call everyday for the rest of the week
Press 1 - and ask to be removed/what is your company and they hang up on you...

Record your calls for proof of frequency and litigate.

The best thing to do is just get rid of your wired phone. I used to get so many marketer calls on my home phone, I finally just got rid of it. I get veirtually none on my cell phone, and I've had (and published on cards and in emails) the same phone number for about 4 years now.

This is where Google's Grand Central comes in for me. I forward my home phone to Grand Central which filters the callers for me according to my uploaded address book, and sends the call either to my cell phone, home phone, or both, or none at all.
If you're not in my contacts book, you'll get through the first time (then I'll add you to my contacts) or do nothing, but when I enter your number from the Caller ID into the Spam filter, it automatically sends you to Grand Central's 'We're sorry ... disconnected... ....please check the number and try again..." recording. I never hear from them again.
The "Do Not Call Registry" only seems to slow the calls, And yesterday I got one from "(305) 000-7529" A "000" exchange? You can't find these people to prosecute them, You have to fight fire with fire.
- that sounds like magicks. No wonder you're called ghandolflocustsloth

In the past I've used Vonage's call log to file a complaint with the FCC. That worked.
You can also try something like this:
http://www.telezapper.com/- There are also devices that can block specific numbers. Again, around $50 or so.blaw
