Cheap unlimited hosting (support is shoddy at times)
http://www.webserve.ca/

Pretty happy with this one so far:
http://www.fatcow.com/

Some clients I've had used these shared hosts with good luck:
www.wingsix.com
www.siteground.comI've used more developer-friendly:
www.slicehost.com
www.linode.com
(you can host multiple domains, your own OS partition, etc, but you should know your way around linux)

I've been using www.dollarhost.com for almost 10 years for simple hosting. Cheap and good support.

The one I have used for years, http://www.webhostingbuzz.com recently doubled their rates. I had to register a new site, but luckily figured out how my add-on domains work. Now I'm just pissed that I have two separate accounts with them and realized I can host multiple sites under one account.

Depends on a shit load of factors.
- Is it for one domain or a bunch of clients?
- How much traffic
- How much data
- Assuming it's LAMP, how many db's do you need
- Do you plan on using a newsletter mailing list? (also, will you use your software or the hosts, if they use it?)I use pair networks for hard core e-commerce sites that really matter and 1and1.com for my site that I haven't updated in 3 years. Servage looks nice though at a glance.

i've been quite happy with http://www.1and1.com

I use Huevia (www.huevia.com) for my portfolio/business website. I'm not sure how it handles on larger sites/applications but it's great for what I'm using it for. The owner is a yayhooray! member and super helpful. I haven't had much downtime, no problems with e-mail or anything and my questions are answered quickly. The data center used is Rackspace.

OSFA, a friend of mine has just hosted with them. Unfortunately I can't really comment on service as the site hasn't launched yet.
I'm with Dreamhost though, have been for about 4 years and rarely have problems and more importantly and problems have been dealt with quickly.
