take a one minute nap.
Find a large comfortable chair. Put a Dish or pan under your feet. Sit up in the chair holding a spoon gently in your hands over the pan. Relax and fall asleep. When you wake up to the sound of the spoon hitting the pan, start drawing or writing imediatly.

Honestly, just staying away from stressed out business people does wonders for my creativity.... I have to protect my sanity, and my mindset.... being too close to people with a violently different mindset can push my creativity into the toilet.... like see what happens to soooo many musicians after their first few good and somewhat successful albums get the attention of a record company and their "new producer" kills that which made them good.... similar thing happens in our business, but of course, we have to, uh, do design to uh, sell product, and, uh, that's often where the rubber hits the road and the creativity gets flattened under the tires of a business mindset...

Go watch the TED talk with Ken Robinson. Love it! Gives a nice perspective on creativity and education.

truthfully, real creativity percolates out of your subconscious. All you can really do is cultivate an environment that enables more of it.
