Lightroom Drinks My RAM

I've been using lightroom 2.3 for a while on a pc with vista. Whenever I use the adjustment brush, Lightroom just starts drinking memory and never lets go of it until i eventually have to kill the application and restart it.
Anyone else having weird memory (ram) issues with lightroom?

mm i've had problems with lightroom on a mac before, similar memory eating issues, also miscellaneous bugs and random crashing.
I think it's just a buggy program in general.

memory leak
Sounds like it's poorly written. Maybe check for a patch/update?

I searched around a bit and found there's lots of people with your same issue. Sounds like there is no fix until they release a patch or update for 2.3.
This pretty much sums it up (pulled from one of the many forums):
"yep it has a nasty memory leak, which made me so angry... especially as I could not go back to the lower version which did not have said leak, as it would not read my camera's raw files....
v2.2 had huge memory leaks, when you put any local adjustments on an image
v2.3 leaks memory like crazy when you put alot of adjustments, or paint a large mask encompassing more than 50 percent of the image (15 meg raw files)
I'm hoping v2.4 will finally get rid of the tiresome memory leaks on the adjustment brush"

The adjustment brush is a really cool idea but is useless in it's currenrt state.
