Really struggling to sift through the millions, so I'm starting a thread of FREE fonts that I like.. and hoping that others will join in the fonty fun!!!!

those are all pretty hideous.
they are a few quality free fonts out there. smashing mag is a decent place to look. otherwise you normally get what you pay for.

Projectile, free fonts (in my experience) are generally best used as display fonts. Short amounts of copy with limited usage. There are some nice low cost typefaces out there, and the cost should be billed to a client in the same way an image/photo would be. You don't need to say it on a bill, just factor it into the cost from the outset. The trick is to invest in some key fonts that you can reuse over again. Once you have these you can expand and get more fonts for specific jobs.

Sugo has bad kerning but it is a nice DIN prototype-like font
