hi,
i've tried googling it and using the filter above but i'm still confused. i've registered two new domains that i want to redirect to my current web site. i've done that with no problem, modifying the DNS to point to my current web site. since i've done that just now there are no way to test it (takes about 12h to 24h to refresh apparently)
now my question is simple but i have a feeling the answer won't be. i've seen websites that if i type in www.URL2.com, it will redirect me to www.URL1.com but still show URL2.com in the adress bar. how do i do this?

what host are you with 12-24 hrs to refresh is long
do you have a control panel to administer basic services on your website? or are you doing everything from a command line?
if you have a cPanel
look for domain management
you have
www.url2.com
www.url3.comwant to redirect to www.url1.com but show there original Urls (url2,url3) in adress bar,
in domain management just set the Pointer Type of each new domain to Home Directory (root) of your original domain name , and Points To should be the root folder most times /htdocs/

i have mediatemple
and i've played around with the htaccess file but it doesnt keep the redirected URL. it shows.
here's the example : www.sylvainjacques.ca points to www.frerejacques.ca
i want the htaccess to hide frerejacques.ca and keep in the URL bar sylvainjacques.ca
here's the code i found on the internet. what did i do wrong?
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.sylvainjacques\.ca
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.frerejacques.ca [NC,L]- fixed it. dropped the htaccess
and played with the SHHFanco
- fixed it. dropped the htaccess
