I'm sure I'm not the only one on here who has some kind of folder on their machine where you dump all kinds of found imagery.
Mine started out simple enough, but has now swelled to almost 2,500 images.
To date, I've been browsing through the images using Bridge (which is pretty awesome), but as the number of images has increased, its become a little unwieldy. I've toyed with the idea of categorising the images and putting them in separate folders like 'web/print/identity/video' etc. I don't think this will work since I'd rather be able to see all my images in one folder, or at least all in one place.
So, what I'm after is something similar to Bridge, but where I can put custom tags, so I can organise and search through images without separating them out.
I considered starting a blog where I could upload images with tags, but the thought of uploading that many images is putting me off.
Any ideas?

i would be interested in that too. but i say, this is soo much work... something similar to itunes would be nice. all it did to me was eating up two sunny days...

iPhoto? create albums with the name of the desired tags... i know it's just a silly workaround..

I got to the point where I just started using ffffound for all my inspiration images, after realising I just saved images to my computer without ever looking at them again. But I think there are better online bookmarking sites where you can bookmark both images and video, and give them proper tags and such.

Currently I'm using evernote for my inspiration folder. It allows you to create notebooks of different bits of inspiration and also you can tag each piece of inspiration as to be able to browse by tags. It has several methods of input such as a desktop app with screen capture and also an iphone app as well which is handy and of course its cloud based so it means at work and at home you can get to that folder.
For your one big folder of awesome you could create one default inspiration notebook in evernote and sync away, with regards to it being unwieldy I'm not to sure how it handles thousands of images but if you tag them you wouldn't have to show all of them at once?

thanks guys, will definitely have a look at those above. I knew there must already be a solution, I'm not that good at finding niches in markets!
