I recently sold my PSP online. Now the guy wants his money back because he brought it in to get it modded and it didn't work.
I said sorry but that's not my fault, it was in working order when i sold it and i would be buying it back from you because you attempted to modify it. I suggested he resell it at same cost.
he replied that it's much better now because even though the mod didn't work out, it's all updated and everything.
now this fool won't stop texting me and have a feeling he will show up at the office (mistake on my part i know for giving address. but he also gave me his home address)
how else do i politely tell this fool sayonara.

sales like this are as-is, right? he has no rights whatsoever.
block him from your phone and call the police if he shows up at your work.

ya, seriously, tell him to fuck off

definitely as is. i even demo'd it to him that it's all fine and dandy before taking the money he offered right away.

Wow. What an ass. I can't even call this buyer beware. If it was in working order when you gave it to him, he has no recourse. Then again... what proof do you have that it was working before you gave it to him?
Seems just as easy for him to turn it around on you and say you gave it to him broken, no?
- that's why i turned it on and went through it with himbrandelec

what proof does he have that it wasn't working? even if it was broken, the guy should've asked to see it demoed before buying it.
- brandelec0
he means the mod didn't work

i replied
"sorry mate it was in working order when i sold it i can't take it back if there was attempt to mod it. you can sell it again with no worries at that price, i got a lot of inquiries"
- brandelec0
"its more than a working its better cus it got a lot of new updates look if u get lot of attempt y don't u take it back? i hired someone else to mod by internal way"
- brandelec0
i almost want to send a pic of my crotch with "mod this"

Just let him come to your workplace and when he gets there call out to everyone "this is the guy I was telling you about, lives with his mother in the basement and does a great samba dance". Preferred outcome is an excellent samba performed for your colleagues, and he leaves because of embarrassment. Or else he stabs you in the face. Either way, colleagues win.

how old is this guy? who doesn't understand the logic behind buying something (used and in working condition, nonetheless) and then going to physically alter it, and wondering why he can't have his money back because his hack didn't work?! too fucking bad. the guy sounds like an idiot.

stop responding to his texts and grow a mustache disguise for when you go into work. maybe wear a bowlers hat and dark sunglasses too so he won't recognize you when he comes in with a gun to shoot up the place.

Just got to have balls and be firm. Tell him NO he can't have his money back. He can always resell it if he wants to. Be as nice as possible, but don't fold and he'll get the picture.
Make sure there's other people around so it stays orderly.

i haven't replied, and dbot you're right about keeping it nice.
a coworker wants to reply "do you still have your receipt?"
