Anyway to have spreads with the pages on top of each other???
eg... for Calendars or any with top edge binding???
I hate having to create something in single pages that crosses a spread, or layout on a full spread page and then have to cut it in pieces... seems like this should be possible????

just make the page portrait. check with your printer but the one i use a lot simply rotates the pages with prepress auto-pagination software. the only other way is to create the pages landscape and work on the with your head tilted (on the monitor on it's side) which would be ridiculous obviously.

assuming your artwork is 8.5 x 11, then designing in 11x17 is the way to go.
After you're done, export the doc as a PDF or re-import each page of your indesign doc as pictures and insert those. Sure, it's a pain in the ass, but it does the trick.
There's no stackable pages option on the top edge though.
- < good solution. i'd get the prepress peeps to do the bait and switch though.airey

keep them as single pages, the printers pagination software sorts all that bleed and creep stuff out

yeah, when you create the doc, uncheck 'facing pages'...or is that not what you're saying...could very well be more complicated...i'm very tired.

When you're designing it, place both pages on a single vertical page so you can see how things look. Be sure to give room for the spiral binding, that is at the greatest width the two sheets will spread apart when hung on a wall.
When preparing the files for print, just do what airey says.
