"colophon" for web sites

Yeah I know what a colophon is in a book, but I've been seeing colophon being used on websites as somewhere to stuff all the boring but necessary info, like who's behind the site, the T&C's, contact info and such.

Well from a print designer's perspective, I think it's a nice old-school classification. I always love it when books include a colophon, especially when I can't immediately identify the fonts in use. But then again, I'm a gigantic nerd.

more of a footnote to the production though...
you really going to list the browsers you tested it on, dreamweaver if it were used, the FTP software you used to upload it, illustrator, ae, ps, and lightroom, the 2-3 fonts you use on it too?
i'd say it not for web use

Hmm I would dig through links but I don't usually bookmark a site just for having a colophon section ;)
