idiot to make a tattoo out of it.. but saying the art looks silly and needs be done by a tattoo artist is really low intelligence. seriously, call me pissed but not immiediately recognizing a Klimt is very very very unworthy imho.

They're missing one of the most important parts of the painting in the tattoo though.

Anyone ever see the episode of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' when the vampires are hunting college students, and they have a running competition of how many Klimdt or Monet posters they collect from dorm rooms? That was pretty damn funny.

I would rarely get a tattoo artist to produce me fine art, as such, I would never have a fine artist produce me a tattoo, nor would I use a famous painting to do so, nothing like handing an artist in a completely different medium a piece of work that is done with personal style and skills beyond the other artists personal abilities, and ask them to "Trace & Color" it. THAT was my point Coffeemcangrypants. It was just contained in an 80 character note that you read waaay too far into.

i believe the proper term in this context would be 'ignorant' rather than 'stupid', since we're talking about a knowledge gap, not a defect in information processing.

Today on Wikipedia I learned that Klimt did not wear underwear
