Incredible story:
In short; hacked the FBI at age 14, blind and with only the use of a telephone.

Interesting article. Reminds me of my youth...
Back in the 90s I was interested in similar things. Hacking/phreaking is what got me into programming and design oddly enough...
Anyone else here ever read PHRACK or attend a 2600 meeting or dumpster dive? :)

yea I heard about 2600, I was into that stuff too. And these stories about blind people doing phreaky phone tricks are a dime a dozen. Their hearing is more developed so they can differentiate the tones.

Cool story. i had a friend who got visited by the FBI for phreaking back He was making boxes and seeding them all over the place.

me and a mate somehow worked out how to make free international phone calls by phreaking the at&t operators in the states. We'd hook up the international students at our school and sell them our services for 50p.
big business. i think we made £3

amazing story. If this was a fiction, it would probably seem too far fetched...

Social services should've taken him in care before he got that bad. Now society's thrown in him with the worst possible set of parental figures possible. What a sad waste of genius.
