Not so much, but not that I was looking for a gig here. I got two small freelance things however.
Years ago I did a very quick job of cleaning up html code for a guy named Marco, a photographer from NYC as far as I remember.
"can i offer you a http://www.deluxepass.com login/pass membership (porn site- $30 per month worth)... if you're into that, of course. + $20 via paypal" he wrote.
I preferred cash but he never paid. No porn pass either, but hey, at least I got screwed.
Another time though I did a quick Flash job for a guy from London named Danny. All went ok. He paid promptly in Sterling, not porn.

A QBNer posted a job opening. A replied privately, a phone and a face to face interview later, I got the job. This was in July. Thanks QBN!

i've never found an 'end-client; due to QBN... but I've found a load contacts and agencies in which I work for (and with) all because of QBN...
... my favorite projects have all been through friends via this place. I may talk a load of shit and get all mouthy on occassion - but I am very happy that I found QBN way back when. :)

I replied to a post last November in helping out with the titles for this movie: http://patrykrebisz.com/films_ld…
The only job in 10yrs of working that has still never paid me for my work and now will not return my emails. Being an indie film and me being a nice dude, I only charged them $500 which should have been at least double. The process was fine, though the director didn't want to listen to any advice I had to give him in the design of the titles of the font choice to use. I ended up giving them exactly what they asked for. I still email them once a month out of principle.

Had a potential connection with someone here (agency). My price was a bit high for that particular project, but we might collaborate in the future.
skt got some work from me through the Qoob (my website).

I wonder if anyone actually had a client who found you through QBN. Or Krop, or béhance or similar site/portfolio hosting where only designers seem to hang around. Anyone?
