I could of done with one of those, got busted twice in two 30MPH zones and lost my license due to the new drivers act (6pts in first 2yrs of driving)

I just started using a TomTom Sat-Nav, it beeps whenever there are speed cameras (that are on the database that gets updated every few weeks).
Are you talking about detectors though? (That wouldn't be powered by GPS).

Yeah its the GPS ones that you have to update yourself via PC.
Road angel do one that updates itself.
These are all under £200Theres a Defender one for £1500 thats on that fifth gear article.
This is the only one that will warn you of the presence of lasers as well as GPS cam detection. Bit prices likes. Some of the TomTom ones only get updated every couple of weeks.
Just been doing some reading on them, some of the reviews say that the road angel ones can take up to half an hour to get the first satellite signal and get up and running so maybe not that great for short journeys.

I can't imagine you need much more than the TomTom does... Or do you drive, like, really fast?
I even let the sat-nav beep at me when I go over the speed limit (a feature I never saw before when I used rental cars in the states), but I may end up turning that off...

nah i dont intentionally drive fast but recent mods to car means that it gets over the limit very quickly haha.
so just to be safe.
